Gettin in Birthday Mode...

We have all of our Christmas stuff down and are headed into birthday mode... Hunter is excited for his birthday, however, I don't think there is anything he wants or needs. I keep telling him that is the curse of having a birthday so close to Christmas!

When we were little Keri and I often shared a party and so I joked with Hunter the other day that he and I could share a party... He thought that would be great! Obviously he hasn't had to do it for a lifetime...

We have no plans for tomorrow right now... which might be nice.

The Gift of Giving!

This year the boys went to Build-a-Bear and made each of their cousins an animal. They recorded a message for the paw and were really excited to give it to the babies! Cate got a black bear and Addyson got a dog. They were so cute because they wanted that to be the first thing that was opened. I am not sure the babies were as excited but it was nice to see the boys get into "giving".

Thank you Memaw!!

The boys love the Crammer and once we got it all figured out they are having a good time!!

Of course, Addyson wishes she had one too!!

Glad its over...

Look who's got a buddy... Me and Cate...

Merry Christmas!

So I know its not the right attitude but I am glad Christmas is behind us. Hiding the presents makes me crazy... Santa Claus has a tough job! The boys got some great stuff that they love and we went and shopped on Friday for anything else they wanted! I am gonna post pictures of their presents later. I used my Christmas money to get a new refrigerator!! It is awesome and I love it. For Christmas/Birthday Brian is getting me a new washer and dryer so I am really excited about that too!!

Our Trip Downtown...

We had the kids collect blankets from around the house and around the neighborhood and we took them downtown on Sunday. We had all the Dads in a car and all the moms and kids in a car. As we drove around downtown the kids were on the lookout for people sleeping on the streets. When we found someone we pulled up and asked if he would like a blanket which he gratefully accepted. Before we knew it, there were people running in droves to the car to get a blanket. It was unbelievable. The kids were wide-eyed and quiet (which is rare!) as the people kept running up to get one. They held them to their faces and smelled them and thanked us. The kids leaned out the window as they walked away and wished them a Merry Christmas. I think the kids really learned a lot from seeing that not everyone is as fortunate as they are. We plan on going again after the new year and bringing some hot dogs or food and jackets. Everyone that came up asked if we had food and unfortunately we didn't think of that. It was an enlightening experience and one I don't think the kids will soon forget.

12 Days Update!

Ok so far the kids have opened 5 gifts from each other... They have gotten Tommy 20 guns (by Nerf that shoots annoying yellow foam darts), a slinky, silly string, remote control cars, a new headset for the xbox 360, a new game and deodarant. It has been fun watching them get excited about it and they have actually played with the toys they have gotten. We only have a few people left to buy for and have gotten a lot of the wrapping done with (which is unusual because usually I wait til the 23rd)! I think we will try and wrap it up today with shopping and enjoy the next few days peacefully.

The post office says today is the last shipping day to make it by Christmas so the orders should slow down. It will be a nice break. The Christmas cards went out today. Another thing checked off the list...

For Hollie (our mail carrier) we have done the 12 days of Christmas for years. This year we are doing baked goods so I am off to bake another batch of cookies... The kids are happy that is what we decided because they love taste-testing all the goods...

Our Christmas Picture

So it is really our Thanksgiving picture but it is the most recent of the four of us. I would have printed it and put it in our cards except for HUNTER! His face is silly! Even Brian is smiling... So here it is and we will do better next year... can't do much worse!

Not Enough Time...

Time is flying and Christmas is 11 days away!! The boys are enjoying doing their 12 days of Christmas and are having a really good time buying for each other. It is nice to see them getting along (ever so briefly) as they have been at each other's throats recently. I have a few people left to buy for and of course, LOTS OF WRAPPING! I am hoping to finish up in the next few days but work keeps holding me back!! Of course, a good problem to have!

We did not get around to doing our Christmas picture this year but am thinking we may do an impromptu picture so I can get the Christmas cards out the door! Usually I have them out the door the day after Thanksgiving but not this year... Hoping to get them out before the day after Christmas!

Well lots of orders so more soon...

Yeah... Pictures

I will post more soon but these are from the other day and then there is our very sad looking Christmas tree!!

Tough Weekend

We have a hard time at the tournament. The other associations have different rules from GLASA which makes it really hard to be competitive. They are allowed to bring guest players and some of the teams we played were All-Star teams. We lost all three games on Saturday which Hunter took very hard!! They lost their indoor game on Sunday too. I drove back for Brandon's indoor game on Saturday and they won 19-2. It was a great game and they have a great little team. He played as a guest for another team on Sun that had a double header and he did great. The team is a year older but he was able to hold his own!

We did finally get all of our Christmas decorations up (or at least enough to get in the Christmas spirit). Addyson came over on Sunday night and loved all the snowmen and things that sing. She is walking now which was really exciting and when the music played she does a little dance... SOOOO CUTE! The boys just love her and I am so glad that Michele lets us spend time with her.

Yesterday was catch-up so today we are gonna try and get the house cleaned up and go to the gym and the book store... Fun... Fun...

Down-n-Out Again...

So the other day I had Hunter in the dr for an ear infection. Well turns out it started with a cold that everyone but Brandon has now. Hunter is taking antibiotics and seems to be much better but now Brian and I both have the stuffy nose, sniffles, etc. Of course, he thinks he is dying...

Tomorrow is Hunter's tournament of champions. He is so very excited and I am excited that he seems better. I am sure we are going to freeze out there too. Our first game is at 8:00 in Garland so we have to leave at 6:45. That makes me a lot less excited but not him! We will play at 8,11 and 2 and then depending on how we do we could play on Sunday as well. I will take lots of pictures.

Today is Christmas decorating day! Brian is helping his sister move today so we are going to climb into the attic and get it all done and put away before he gets home (hopefully). The kids have been bugging me since Thanksgiving to get the tree out and we haven't yet. It is already December too and that is very unlike me! So we are off to the attic... Hope to have a picture of the tree on here later...

My Birthday Month!!

So I have been telling the kids all day that it is finally my birthday month! Although my birthday is the last day of the month it is nice to begin celebrating on the first. My sister and I have always shared the month (well, as long as I can remember) and to be real honest it is nice that in my house I don't have to share anymore. Brian even woke up this morning and wished me a happy birthday month!! I guess if you share your birthday with a major holiday it is only fair to be able to celebrate the whole month. So Happy Birthday Month to me... and Keri! :)

The Downfall of Motherhood...

So my sister learned the downfall of motherhood these last few days. My sweet niece is sick! She is running a high fever (104) and I am so sad for them. There is NOTHING worse then when you baby (even if they are 7 and 9) is sick or hurt. I know that this is really the worst part of being a parent because it even affects Brian. We are praying that she feels better soon and that it spares her parents...

Let the Shopping Begin...

So we started on Wednesday before Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and found a few things. They did great and almost finished! On Thursday we went out to eat which is the best idea EVER! No clean up and no cooking... On Thursday afternoon we went to Big Lots and Garden Ridge and found a few things and then I set out for the Allen outlet mall which opened at midnight. I found some good deals there but you had to hunt. By the time we left it was a ZOO... We headed back towards home and hit the usuals... Walmart, Target, Kohls, JCP. I got quite a bit and even finished up some people. On Saturday Brian was out and found something for my mom so now she is done too! Slowly but surely we are checking people off the list. The real kicker this year is the boys. There is nothing they need and very little they want. Of course the stuff they do want is super expensive too. Santa is gonna have a really hard time this year!!

Time Flies...

It feels like time is flying by as we get ready for Thanksgiving in A FEW DAYS!! We are going to try and have an at home day today and get caught up on schoolwork and work on our first Christmas craft. The boys get really into making ornaments for everyone and we do a new one each year. I am still searching for this year's but did find a cute way to make window clings so we are doing that today. The laundry has grown into mountains and with the mail holiday this week we have to stay caught up! So after running a few errands this morning we are off to get started! It is a beautiful day so we hope to spend some time outside too...

Sounds like too much to do in one day but we're gonna try...

Time to be Thankful...

So every Thanksgiving when we eat at my mom's everyone goes around the table and says what they are thankful for. Brian and I were talking about it last night as I think he likes to think of something out of the ordinary to shock everyone. He had me rolling on the floor last night laughing at some of the things he is thankful for. All I know is I love him with all my heart and I don't know what I would do without him! We can still spend hours talking like we could when we were dating and I still want to share everything with him.

My trip was good and it was nice to be missed. Brian cleaned the house of clutter and besides my initial reaction that he may have thrown away something I need... I haven't come across anything I can't find yet. I may have not been grateful enough. He took great care of the kids and did a fine job of Mr. Mom.

A Sad Day...

So of course we all got the stomach bug that is going around... I thought we might get lucky and Hunter would be the only one... BUT NO. We all got it and spent the entire weekend complaining about how awful we felt! Luckily it is only a 48 hr bug or so...

So the sad news of the day is one of the ferrets died. Jessica, our oldest ferret, was found in her cage this morning. It was very sad, for me anyways, and the boys seemed mildly bothered by it. We gave her a nice burial in the trash can.

I am excited about my trip this week... I'm hoping the boys will all be able to take care of each other...

The Universe is a little safer...

So Brian and the boys have been fighting to keep the universe safe from the Locust ever since Gears of War 2 came out on Thursday. Thanks to Ward at Microsoft we actually got it about 7 hrs early... He is Brian's all-time best friend now!!

We watched Addy on Thursday because the daycare thought she might be sick. Well, wouldn't you know it... Hunter started throwing up tonight. He is really bummed that he might miss his last soccer game tomorrow but I told him we'll see how he feels then. I HATE it when they are sick...

Not much else is new... Tomorrow the outdoor soccer season ends and we get a little bit of a break. I am going out of town next week so I need everyone to be well before I go... Start praying...

Our night away...

So for Brian's birthday I got him a night at the hotel where Kirk works... It is a beautiful place and we had a great time. This is the patio and our room was the bottom left with the door open...

and this was our view off the edge of the balcony of the patio...

Cutie Pie Cate...

We went to Dad's b-day party last week and Cate was so funny... Her faces are hilarious and Brian says that just makes him love her... He was really funny about her and it amazes me that he thinks she is cool... Of course, the boys can't get enough of her...

Halloween Pumpkins...

The kids did a really great job this year so I told them I would post their pictures of the pumpkins... They are ghosts...

OK... catch up time...

So it has been awhile since I was on because life gets crazy... I am going to post some pictures that have been stuck in my camera... Here is the lady who hit my jeep... that I still don't have back. They had to order a new hood and paint it and it was supposed to be done today but I'm doubting it...

Grampa's Coming

The boys are so excited they can barely stand it! He comes in on Brian's birthday and all the excitement is building... He won't be here for long and the boys have been working extra hard so that they can play the whole time he is here! Brandon just did an extra hour of schoolwork before bed hoping to get a few days off with Grampa.

Of course, we have EARLY games while he is here. Our games are at 8 and 9 so we will be up early but will have the rest of the day free... It should be a nice visit!

Now we just need to finish up the to-do list before he gets here. We got the door hung on the patio, got the painting done in the boys rooms, made a trip to the dump and got all the laundry and work caught up... So far so good!

Gotta luv the Jeep...

So after last week I thought I would get some reprieve from my bad week... Apparently I was wrong. Tonight when I was driving home a lady creamed my car. I was alone and I am fine, just a little sore (well, sore enough I may swing by a dr. tomorrow tho). The adjuster is coming out tomorrow to let me know how bad it is... But on the bright side... Her car looks much worse than mine. I think I will go take a picture of it tomorrow because she shouldn't have messed with me... Anyway, here's the jeep...

It is dark so it is worse than it looks. There are even places on the driver side that will have to be fixed from the impact to the passenger side. We have pulled some of the parts back into place to the best of our ability as well. She was coming out of the alley a few blocks from my house and never stopped or even looked. There is an island there and nowhere for me to go and I looked over and knew she was gonna hit me. She was in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck that is in much worse shape...
I told Brian how much I appreciated the fact that I don't drive a little car because at the speed she was going she would have run right over me...

Girlz Rule... Most of the time...

So I lost... It actually wasn't even close. I lost by 40 points. We played poker last night and I lost at that too so after the week I had I thought my luck was changing but apparently not. However, I did find my keys and my phone is working again!

We had a good weekend but Brandon's team lost their first game in almost two years! Brian was furious with the majority of the team. This is our rival team and we were fighting for first place and we lost this time. We play them again the last game of the season so there's still hope! Brandon had a good game though and his dad was proud of him.

Hunter's team won their game and he did great. That puts them well in first place so it looks like they will be going to the Tournament of Champions. He was so excited and his face actually lit up once they won. We were really proud of him.

So off to start another busy week... it has to be better than last week....

My Sweet Friend...

Thank you so much for all you do... Listening to the complaining... Packing the mail... Just hangin out... I appreciate you more than you know... :)

Another win under our belt...

So, Hunter had a game tonight and they won 7-1. He had a goal and had a great game which leaves them in first place! He and Brandon both have games this weekend for first place. I don't know what kind of luck we have that both those games fall on the same day... Thanksfully they are at 11:45 and 4:45 so we have no conflicts. If Hunter's team wins this weekend they are going to the Tournament of Champions and we are all very excited about that!

Also, I won last night by the skin of my teeth in Fantasy Football. It came down to the fourth quarter and it was back and forth the whole game but I pulled it out! Brian also won so that leaves us in first and second place. We play each other this weekend so that should be interesting! It will top off our exciting weekend I am sure.

Halloween is almost here...

Well, Halloween is Brian's favorite holiday and it is almost here. The stores have opened up everywhere. We had Date Night on Friday (thanks Amy :)) and so we went to dinner which was very good and then went Halloween shopping. Brian decided to buy some wall and glass stickers of ghosts and scary things and put them in the kids rooms so when they came home they would be really scared! It almost worked but Brandon wasn't scared and took the edge off for Hunter. He was a little disappointed but when Amy's kids came over for a sleepover last night it worked on them so that made up for it.

We had two great soccer games yesterday. Hunter's team is playing for the regional Tournament of Champions this season and they had a great game against the other top team. WE WON! And even better than that Hunter scored the game winning goal. We are now in first place and if we stay there we will play all of the other teams in North Texas the first weekend in December. He was super-excited and we were so proud of him. The team really won BECAUSE of Hunter!

Brandon's team won too and are undefeated as well. It was a great game too and they won 14-2. He did great as well and informed me that his father promised that if he went undefeated all season we are going to Disney Land. Funny how these things happen behind my back.

So tomorrow will wrap up Fantasy football for this week and I need Min to beat NO BADLY! The other team has Drew Brees playing and I have Bernard Berrian. Well, they are saying he is questionable so I may swap him out for Sidney Rice but haven't decided yet. I plan to call my advisor tomorrow and see what he thinks... All in all, a fun and exciting weekend and next weekend I play Team Klinko. I think he's going DOWN...

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Addy came for a sleepover...

This weekend we got to have Addyson over for a sleepover. It was a full house because we got to have Alex and Joshua over for a sleepover too... We had a really good time and it was so cute to see how sweet ALL the boys were with the baby...

Found some photos

So I went into the camera to post the picture of Hunter the other day looking so handsome and found some other cute ones too...

Here is Brandon and his cousin Cate... and Hunter and Cate.

Here is Hunter before his study the other day all dressed up...

I WON! I WON!

So after consulting with my new advisor for fantasy football... I WON! It was a close one too but I squeaked it out. Thanks Dad! The sad thing is Brian lost... so I have referred him to my advisor for help and we'll see... I play the person that took Brian down next week so keep your fingers crossed. The good thing is Brett Favre has a bye so we'll see what that does to his team.

The boys had their first guitar lesson yesterday and it went great. He gave them three songs to practice and two chords. I am pretty sick of the songs already but I guess that is good because it means they are practicing. They are very excited to be able to play something they recognize.

Other than that... not much is new... It is a beautiful day so we are gonna head out and do some errands and enjoy the nice weather...

I've Been Defeated...

So today my "Girlz Rule" fantasy football team lost... :( Jason beat me with team Lunch Box. It was very sad. And two players are to blame... Matt Schaub who truly STINKS (thanks Brian for the advice to play him over Kerry Collins) and Brian Westbrook... what were you thinking getting hurt! I needed you!

Anyways, I wore my Redskins jersey today instead of my Girlz Rule shirt thinking the Redskins may need some help... Well that worked... THEY WON! Unfortunately I lost which leaves Brian as the only undefeated team in the league... I'm sure we'll hear about that for awhile...

Soccer Saturday Update!!

Our games went very well and both boys won their games on Saturday. Brandon was a superstar out there and they won 12-7 and Hunter looked so confident and played with passion. They won 3-2. Both teams are in first place!

I was so happy that Brian decided to come to Hunter's game too... It has been a long time since he has gone because of schedule conflicts and because he used to get so mad when Hunter made dumb decisions because he believes he is smarter than that. Well Hunter had a stellar game and looked great and Brian was actually there to see it! He was gonna start "coaching" from the sideline but I told him to have some faith and sit and watch. He did and Hunter showed him that he knew what he was doing. They had a great talk and you could see Hunter knew he was proud of him.

Great day!!

Fantasy Football Showdown!!

So after this week there are only three people who are undefeated in our ff league. Me, Brian and Amy's husband Daniell. So this weekend Brian and Daniell play each other and if he can beat him that leaves me and Brian and we play each other Week 6. It has been so much fun, I guess since it has been years since I got this into watching football and I really do enjoy it!

I think this weather is the best thing ever too!! I stayed up really late last night and got the mail done so that I could work outside on the backyard today and fix the door and all kinds of stuff... It is just so beautiful that yesterday the top came off the jeep and I was cruising!! The Jeep is the best vehicle every for Fall.

I finished the book "The Shack" on Sunday night and told Brian he should read it so he did by Monday early afternoon. He really is the fastest reader I know (no offense, Keri). It was hard to get into in the beginning but if you can make it past chapter 5 it is incredible. I really enjoyed it and have promised to pass it on to my friend Leah. I'm hoping to take it to mom, dad and Keri because I am interested to know what they think of it.

School has started!!

So we are back in the swing of things and doing some review from last year in order to dive into the new grade's work. They are moving quickly through the review and getting right back into the groove of doing schoolwork. Last week they even got to go camping with Nanny and probably learned more that day than they will all week. Brian's requirement for letting them go camping was that they learn something and Nanny did a great job!!

Soccer season started last weekend too! The games were at the same time so we had to split up. Hunter was EXCEPTIONAL at his game and was the reason that their team won 3-1. He had two assists and looked fantastic out there. Brian said that Brandon did GREAT too and they won 12-4 after being tied at halftime. I told him maybe he should go into motivational speaking after that performance after his halftime speech. He said it was far from motivational but probably more like threatening!

On Sunday we had our first Fantasy Football matchup as well. Brian got the best score in the league and is bummed that he now gets the last pick on waivers. I, on the other hand, squeaked out a tie score but won based on QB score. It was scary watching the end of the game hoping and praying they wouldn't get the ball to Selvin Young one more time. I ended up with the #6 spot and am hoping to get some good players on waivers.

I should probably do this more often so I don't write a book each time... Gotta teach...kris

Six Flags Again?????

So call me crazy but we took the kids to Six Flags AGAIN! My friend has season passes and they had a "Bring a friend for FREE" coupon so she convinced me we had to go... We had a good time but it was so HOT and SOOOOO CROWDED! I don't know what she was thinking when she told me it shouldn't be that bad. We knew it wasn't going to be good when 360 service road was way backed up... Anyways, the kids had a good time and got to ride a bunch of stuff they missed last time so it was fun.

We painted the kids rooms over the long weekend too... Gotta love mail holidays! Hunter's room looks great and is a porpoise gray with a red accent wall. We are almost done and then I will post a picture of it. Brandon's room is also porpoise gray but he can't decide on his accent wall. He wants blue but doesn't like the Cowboys... so we're mullin it over. Amy and her sister Kim came and helped me which I thought was SOOOO nice and we zipped right through it. We got new entertainment centers and got those put together quick too. They are excited and can't wait to finish all the little details.

The neighborhood is quiet...

So last weekend I braved Six Flags with the kids for the first time. They had a blast and there was nothing they wouldn't ride. Me, on the other hand, rode almost nothing. We went with some friends and I was happy to stay with the kid who decided at the last minute not to ride. It gave me an excuse not to ride too but the funny thing was it was never my kid! We had a good time and are headed back on Monday for Labor Day! They are ecstatic. Hunter is fearless and Brandon rode everything but says he won't ride the upside down ones again. They are braver than me and thank God for friends who will ride with them!

Finally all the neighborhood kids have gone back to school and the 'hood is quiet. The boys are relaxing and settling back into a routine of ... fighting! Really they are just getting used to the quiet of the other kids at school. It is very nice. We have the girls around and they play their make-believe games and ride bikes and get along.

I have really gotten into reading in my "down time" which is usually few and far between but this week I MADE time. In the last few weeks I have read all of Judy Blume's adult novels and some Danielle Steele and my friend, Amy got me a copy of "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. This book is the best book I have read in a REALLY long time. It was exceptional! I loved it and got so into it that I ended up having a whole afternoon where I finished the last 100 pages because I couldn't stop. I have joked several times that I wish I wasn't done and could still bury my nose in it it is that good!

Other than that not much new here... Business is booming and we are trying to keep our heads above water... Occasionally that's a nice feeling...

Football is almost here...

So tonight we all went out and did our Fantasy Football draft at Cape Buffalo in Addison. It was a lot of fun and Brian is stoked over his team. He thinks he is going to win it all!! It was a weird draft but I got most of everyone that I wanted... I made a shirt for Amy and I to wear since I am the only girl playing in the draft. My team name is "Girlz Rule" and the shirts are really cute! I will post pictures soon... It should be a lot of fun and lets hope that I STOMP all over those boys!!!

The End of Summer Approaches...

So the end of summer is almost here and now we have to cram all the items on the "to do" list into just a few weeks. Soccer is getting ready to start so anything we might have wanted to do on the weekends we need to do NOW! We have had a lazy summer of sleepovers, sitting at Starbucks and hanging out at home. It has been kind of nice.

As school season approaches the book business picks up and so our focus changes from lazy to crazy quickly!! We try to capitalize on the rush and so the adventure begins... As of right now we will be headed out this week to St Louis and then who knows where for the hunt. Should be fun and I can only imagine the stories the kids will come home with of sleeping in the car and book sales gone mad...

For My Sister!!!

So I found this awhile ago and was going to do something very special with it but haven't been able to figure out what! So I figured what better than to just post it to the blog. I was ecstatic when I found it!!!

She's Growing!!

So we go to see Addyson the other day and she grows by leaps and bounds every time. She thinks she's a big kid now and when Brandon held her she tried to get away! I am sure that has nothing to do with the fact that it was Brandon (especially since he is her favorite!). We had a lot of fun with her.

Happy Anniversary!!

Well, today is our anniversary and we have been married 11 years... The kids once heard Brian say he was going to trade me in at "10" so today they told him he was a liar because I was still around!! It was like any other day which is Brian's specialty!

For the 4th we had friends over and went and watched the fireworks and had a lot of fun. The kids decided to sell their glowsticks to other fireworks watchers... It was a sight!

Hunter tied his game on Sun 3-3. He did very well and they asked him to play in the game after as well. He scored all 3 of the goals in that game and looked awesome. I was so proud of him! We also found out that he has Sever's disease. It is a disease of the growth plate in his heel. He will be getting new inserts for his shoes and will do exercises and ice after his games. He was in a lot of pain this weekend after two games. It explains the pain and now hopefully we can get it taken care of. It is apparently very common and since he is growing like a week it didn't surprise us.

Other than that not much is new! TTFN

Haircut photos

This is the before picture... and I forgot to mention that Joshua was the wonderful photographer.
Madyson was very serious about her future as a hairdresser...

Alex had to have a go at it too though.

This was the final photo Joshua took so that he could help with the cutting and styling too... It ended up a little shorter in some places and he still can't get the faux-hawk to stay put...

Brian and I decided that this was one of those things that they would look back on when they are teenagers and laugh that at a sleepover they got to cut Brandon's hair...

Sleepover Extravaganza

The kids had a blast last night!! Their friends had a sleepover and all got to lay on my bed and eat popcorn and beef jerky and watch "Wipeout". They thought it was awesome! After the show, they asked BRIAN if they could cut Brandon's hair (probably knowing I would say NO!) and he said YES (of course, he was engrossed in his new game and has no recollection of this)! So here are the kids watching the show and cutting Brandon's hair. I wish I would have videotaped them watching instead of photos because we laughed for almost a straight hour...

Sad Day...

So Hunter's team played indoor soccer tonight... and they lost. It was 6-0. It was sad because he had such a good game last weekend but tonight it seemed like no one really showed up. He held his own on defense and did the best he could back there. The other team was better. So a sad day... hope next weekend is better!

Lazy Days of Summer

Well, today was my first lazy day of summer... and to be honest, it was a little boring. We drove up to the waterpark and were gonna take the kids but it was so crowded we decided against it. They went outside to play and were gone until 9:30 at night. They didn't even come home for dinner... somehow our poor neighbors got suckered into feeding them. I cleaned up the house but had cleaned yesterday so that didn't take long and did some laundry. It seems that the summer has flown by so far but today it came to a stand still. I am sure I could have found something to do but instead I just laid back and enjoyed that I had nothing I HAD to do. I doubt we'll be that lucky tomorrow...

Ok... so we thought we would give blogging a try... We will all have access to it and try and sign our name so you know who published what. We hope this lets us keep up with everyone a little better as we get busy and lose track. Love you all...
